California Pony Cars is excited to launch the 1967-1968 adjustable clutch cable conversion kit. This is a ”natural” for the 1967-1968 Mustang that has upgraded to the very popular BorgWarner T-5 or TREMEC TKO, TKX 5-speed overdrive manual transmissions. This 1967-1968 Mustang / Cougar Late Model style Clutch Cable Conversion kit set up gives you reliability and a smooth operating clutch pedal.

This kit is the strongest system you can install, there are no moving parts to wear out and the system maintains a constant length over the lever arm as the clutch pedal and quadrant move through their travel, also features easy access to the heavy duty insulated cable for when serving/replacing.

**NOTE: using this kit with a Toploader or T10 Transmission:

The quadrant cable kit is designed to be used with a T-5 or Tremec conversion and cable clutch. If you want to use the cable clutch with an original Mustang standard transmission, you will have to do a little fabrication.

In order to make the cable clutch work with the original type bellhousing, you must install a cable type release arm and a new pivot blot (fulcrum) in the bellhousing.

What you will need:

• Replacement fulcrum bolt
• Ford release arm from a 87-93 5.0 Mustang originally equipped with a T5
• Aluminum Bellhousing Adapter Plate
• Thread 1/2" hole in plate for the new fulcrum bolt
• Fabricate a cable housing stop to go outside the bellhousing
